Canyon Bicycles has announced a new four-year partnership with L’Étape du Tour de France, becoming a major partner of the iconic amateur cycling event. The collaboration, which runs from 2026 to 2029, will see the bike manufacturer supporting up to 16,000 cyclists on this year’s route to Alpe d’Huez.

Organised by Amaury Sport Organisation (A.S.O.), the 34th edition of the gran Fondo will take place on July 19, 2026. The 170km course starts in Le Bourg-d’Oisans and finishes at the summit of Alpe d’Huez. Although the 2026 event sold out in minutes, Canyon will make race entries available through exclusive brand initiatives.

The partnership aims to further build the event as a benchmark for international cycling experiences. Canyon will utilise expertise gained from 13 years of partnership with Roc d’Azur CIC to deliver activations for participants before, during, and after the race.

Rodolphe Beyer CEO of Canyon France said “L’Étape du Tour de France embodies the passion for cycling and the energy of a community united by challenge.

“By strengthening our commitment to all cyclists, whatever their discipline, through major, popular events across gravel, triathlon and mountain biking with Roc d’Azur CIC, and now on the road with L’Étape du Tour de France, Canyon aims to create shared moments that bring cycling to life far beyond competition.”

Yann Le Moenner CEO of Amaury Sport Organisation said “Already firmly established in the world of international cycling, we are delighted to welcome Canyon as a major partner of L’Étape du Tour de France and to give our participants the opportunity to connect with a brand driven by the same pursuit of performance, innovation and a strong commitment to the cycling community.”

The German bike brand will have a significant presence within the event village throughout the partnership term. This move also connects Canyon with the Tour de France’s most famous mountain stage, reinforcing its support for riders across various disciplines.

Based in Koblenz, Canyon is a direct-to-consumer manufacturer that produces bikes for road, gravel, triathlon, mountain, and urban riding. It operates through a digital model supported by its own stores and service partners.
